What is Disaster Recovery?

DRII defines Disaster Recovery as, "The ability of an organization to respond to a disaster or an interruption in services by implementing a disaster recovery plan to stabilize and restore the organization’s critical functions."

Disaster Recovery is a component of Business Continuity, and refers to the process of resuming the critical technical functions of a business.  The term Disaster Recovery is often interchanged with Business Continuity, although it typically refers to the IT/DATA, whereas Business Continuity covers all aspects of running and operating a business.

Disaster Recovery consultants should have a solid background in technical infrastructure. Global X Solutions offers clients 20+ years of technical experience, including proficiency in IT, as well as broadcast engineering and operations.
